The article states, “Viewing every game as a 50-50 proposition independent of all others, STATS figured the odds of a home sweep on a night with a full major league schedule was 1 in 32,768.” (Emphases added)

Moving forward, retailers will need to big data augment marketing decisions using insights gained from customer intelligence and predictive analytics. Each retailer’s data team must bring in elements from all aspects of the business, including retail experts, data geeks and predictive modelers. These key elements will set retailers up for success as we move forward into the era of big data.

Yesterday I tweeted about a confusing graphic from a BBC article dispelling myths about last season’s Premier League. Its a good article with some really interesting content but some of the accompanying graphics hindered rather than enlightened the points being made.
